Here's the Wall Street Journal cartoon:
Here's the Matt Groening cartoon I was thinking of from 1987:
In my head, the one-eared, Bart rabbit was holding a report card. Cut me a slight break though, I haven't seen this comic in over 20 years. Mistakes were made. That wording is strange enough that I did remember it. I guess it was "influenced" by Groening not stolen from him.
I apologize, sort of.
Bob,
ReplyDeleteProbably another case of unintentional or subconcious plagiarism, or not.
I was accused of this practice with my own brilliant Spiro Agnew speech when I wrote:
nattering nabobs of negativism.
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers? I don't think so. Literate alliteration is most difficult.
Bill
Bill,
ReplyDeleteI always thought you ripped off that Agnew line from me. Remember,
babbling billabongs of pessimistic pisswater?
From my article in Cracked Magazine, summer of 1967.

BILL
Bill,
ReplyDeleteI'll pay no attention to your pathetic pinpricks of piddling pedantics.
And I won't point out that you misspelled subconscious.
Thanks for the comment!
Bob
Well nobody would know if that it was true, ever, but the cartoon it's very bad so, I don't see why someone people take it to much importance... money ?
